Expansion bend is produced following ASME B16.49 specification.
Also known as U‑bend or offset bend. Designed to absorb thermal expansion, contraction and pipeline displacement, reduce thermal stress on piping system. Fabricated by hot or cold bending process with butt‑weld bevel ends.
Material options include carbon steel A105, 304 and 316L stainless steel.
Widely applied in petrochemical, power plant and long‑distance piping to compensate thermal movement.
Custom dimensions, wall‑thickness and bending shapes are acceptable.
