An equal diameter tee is a type of tee fitting. Tees are divided into two categories: general equal diameter tees and reducing tees. It is named for its three ends that can be connected with pipelines. Equal diameter tees are widely applied in the construction and maintenance of engineering projects in industries such as petrochemical, oil and natural gas, liquefied gas, chemical fertilizer, power plant, nuclear power, shipbuilding, papermaking, pharmaceutical, food hygiene and urban construction.

This type of pipe fitting bears high pressure requirements in industrial applications, with the maximum pressure reaching 600 kilograms. For domestic water pipelines, the pressure requirement is relatively low, generally 16 kilograms.
