Usage and Description:
The hot push elbow forming process adopts a special elbow pushing machine, core mold and heating device. The billet sleeved on the mold moves forward under the thrust of the pushing machine, and is heated, expanded in diameter and bent into shape during the movement.
The deformation characteristic of hot pushed elbows is that the pipe billet diameter is determined according to the constant volume law before and after plastic deformation of metal materials. The adopted pipe billet diameter is smaller than the elbow diameter. The core mold controls the deformation process of the billet, making the compressed metal at the inner arc flow to compensate for other parts thinned due to diameter expansion, so as to obtain elbows with uniform wall thickness.
The hot push elbow forming process features attractive appearance, uniform wall thickness and continuous operation, suitable for mass production. It has become the main forming method for carbon steel and alloy steel elbows, and is also applied to the forming of stainless steel elbows of certain specifications.
Heating methods in the forming process include medium-frequency or high-frequency induction heating (the heating coil can be multi-turn or single-turn), flame heating and reverberatory furnace heating. The selection of heating method depends on the requirements of formed products and energy conditions.
Manufacturing standards include National Standard, Electric Power Standard, Water Conservancy Standard, American Standard, German Standard, Russian Standard, etc.
Application:
Elbows are used at positions where the pipeline needs to change direction, with a wide range of applications. The products are widely used in nuclear power, thermal power, wind power, hydropower, petrochemical industry, shipbuilding, food and pharmaceutical, papermaking and printing, sewage treatment and other industries.
