Base is contoured to match main pipe outer surface for full penetration welding; top end is butt‑weld end for branch pipe connection.
Material options include A105 carbon steel, 304 and 316L stainless steel. Integral hot‑forged structure provides high‑strength reinforcement, avoids weak points of simple cut‑in branch.
