Pipe caps involve the design of convex pipe caps, conical shells, reducing sections, flat covers, and necked-in openings.

Convex pipe caps include: hemispherical pipe caps, elliptical pipe caps, dished pipe caps, and spherical cap pipe caps. From a stress perspective, the performance of convex pipe caps gradually deteriorates starting from hemispherical pipe caps, but in terms of manufacturing difficulty, they become progressively easier to produce.

Purpose of Pipe Caps: Pipe fittings welded to pipe ends or fitted onto external threads at pipe ends to seal the pipes. They are used to close pipelines and serve the same function as pipe plugs.
