2. National standard stamped elbow pipes feature outstanding impact resistance, allowing both hot-melt welding and mechanical connection, and their thermal conductivity is better than that of PB-PP-R.
Development trend of national standard stamped elbow pipes:
The raw materials for national standard stamped elbows not only have qualified creep rupture curves but also feature moderate pipe prices. Construction is more convenient and efficient compared with other types of pipes. The connection method is the currently reliable self-fusion hot-melt connection. The aperture at the pipe fitting is larger than the inner diameter of pipes of the same specification. Since there is no mechanical connection with local diameter reduction in the system, the fluid resistance of the system is relatively low.
Performance comparison between national standard stamped elbows and other stamped elbows:
1. Long-term pressure resistance: In terms of design stress alone, national standard stamped elbows offer excellent pressure resistance. However, due to various factors, the actual wall thickness of underfloor heating pipes is usually 2mm. At this wall thickness, all types of pipes can meet the requirements of underfloor heating, so the pressure resistance advantage of national standard stamped elbow pipes is not evident.
2. Thermal conductivity: Pipes used for underfloor heating require good thermal conductivity.
3. Low-temperature heat shock resistance: PE-RT and PEX exhibit good low-temperature impact resistance. Pipes are less prone to impact fracture during winter construction, enhancing the flexibility of construction scheduling.
4. Environmental friendliness: PE-RT is recyclable and does not pollute the environment, whereas PEX is non-recyclable and may cause secondary pollution.
5. Processing performance stability: PEX has issues such as controlling crosslinking degree and crosslinking uniformity; its processing is complex, and processing quality directly affects pipe performance.
