PJ loose flange

Lap joint flanges are fitted onto pipe ends using flanged edges, steel rings, or other components, allowing the flanges to move freely on the pipe ends. The steel rings or flanged edges serve as the sealing surfaces, while the flanges function to compress them tightly. It can thus be seen that lap joint flanges do not come into contact with the medium, as they are blocked by the steel rings or flanged edges.

Lap joint flanges are suitable for connecting non-ferrous metals such as steel and aluminum, as well as stainless and acid-resistant steel vessels, and for corrosion-resistant pipelines.

A lap joint flange is a movable flange plate, typically matched with water supply and drainage fittings (commonly used on expansion joints). Manufacturers equip each end of an expansion joint with a flange at the factory, which is directly connected to pipelines and equipment in engineering projects using bolts.

It refers to the type of flange with a loose sleeve. It is generally installed on pipelines, enabling the pipes on both sides to rotate when the bolts are loosened and then tightened again, facilitating convenient pipeline assembly and disassembly. Lap joint flanges are also known as loose flanges.
